AUGUST 4 / 8k Run, 2m Run & Walk / Silverton, Oregon

The 8km Run features a Historic Covered Bridge on this scenic, flat and fast, course. Runners cross the only original covered bridge in Marion County. The event features an Olympic-style on the Track finish! Hear the roar of the grandstand crowd and your named called on the loud speakers as you enter the track and complete the final 300 meters of the race.

The 2 mile Run and Walk features a scenic, flat out and back course with views of the country farm lands surrounding Silverton. This event also features an Olympic-style on the Track finish! The crowd will be cheering you the final 300m of the race as you complete the event on the track. All races start and end at the Silverton H.S. track.

AWARDS

Ribbons will be presented to the top 3 runners in each age group category. Ribbons will go to the top 10 runners in the 2 mile run. The overall male and female winners and master winners will receive trophies. All runners are eligible for great local prizes drawing winners posted after the run.

REFRESHMENTS

Watermelon slices and Mexican pastries are served at the finish. Afterwards, enjoy the Homer Davenport Day festivities or visit The Oregon Garden.

DIRECTIONS

From Portland, head South on I-5 to the Keizer/Chemawa Exit #260B. Turn Left (East) on Chemawa Road. Proceed East 10 miles. Chemawa Road become Hazelgreen Road, which becomes Pine Street.
From Albany/Eugene, head North on I-5 to the Keizer/Chemawa Exit #260. Turn Right (East) on Chemawa Road. Proceed East 10 miles. Chemawa Road becomes Hazelgreen Road, which become Pine Street.

At the Stop Sign on Pine Street in Silverton, Turn Left on James Street. Proceed one block North to Schlador Street. The track is located behind the High School. Parking is available off James Street behind the High School (Near the tennis courts and baseball field.)
